COLUMBUS, Ohio-The North Union High School FFA Agronomy Career Development event team achieved State Champion status at the 96th Ohio FFA Convention and Expo. The team, consisting of seven students coached by Jared Evans, will advance to the national level in Indianapolis in October for the 97th National FFA Convention.
Individual achievements at the convention include Jackson Evans securing 1st place for middle school, with other team members placing within the top rankings. The Agronomy CDE contest entails identifying plants, insects, and diseases, along with a written test and a team activity involving scenario-based decision-making. The upcoming national convention will take place from October 23-26.
