COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed the “Religious Expression Days” Act into law on Wednesday. The new law, House Bill 214, allows K-12 students to take up to three days off per school year for religious observances or practices, including major holidays. It mandates that public schools adopt policies to accommodate students’ religious beliefs and practices and establish expectations for staff members’ professional duties.
