CLEVELAND, Ohio-Etienne Massicotte, a Lakewood Recreation Center employee and trumpet teacher with albinism, and his 12-year-old student, Aiden Ardelean, who is also visually impaired, are making waves in Northeast Ohio. They will be running together in the Guardian Mile in Cleveland this weekend. Massicotte noticed Aiden’s need for physical activity during trumpet lessons, leading them to train together at Lakewood High School. Their dedication is paying off as they prepare for the race. Massicotte is also raising funds to compete in the Chicago Marathon.
