WEST CHESTER, Ohio -Lakota West senior quarterback Sam Wiles marked his final regular-season home game in style, just a day after turning 18. In a 42-24 victory over Lakota East, Wiles completed 8 of 9 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing 26 times for 199 yards and two touchdowns. His outstanding performance earned him the WCPO 9 Gold Star High School Athlete of the Week award. Wiles expressed gratitude for his teammates and the opportunities he’s had throughout his high school career, emphasizing the strong bonds he shares with them. Coach Tom Bolden praised Wiles for his continual improvement and effectiveness in the team’s run-heavy offense, noting his strength, balance, and decision-making skills.
