WEST GEAUGA, Ohio-Myra Utterback, a senior at West Geauga High School, was awarded the prestigious Franklin B. Walter Award for 2024 in Geauga County. She was chosen from a group of outstanding students based on her academic achievements, test scores, extracurricular activities, and awards.
The award was presented at the annual Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Awards Program on April 15 at the Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center in Lewis Center, Ohio. Myra was accompanied by her father, Gary Utterback, and attended by officials including Jennifer Felker from the Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve and Dr. Rich Markwardt from the West Geauga Local School District.
