Police say 7-year-Old Boy Considered ‘Endangered Missing’ After Mother’s Arrest Found Safe

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Kingston Gillyard, a 7-year-old considered “endangered,” was found safe after his noncustodial mother, Shadasia Gillyard, was arrested on unrelated charges. Columbus police had sought the public’s help to locate Kingston, missing since October 2023.

Shadasia Gillyard was apprehended by law enforcement after a standoff. She faces charges including felonious assault and interference with custody for allegedly taking Kingston from his custodial parent. Despite being a suspect in Kingston’s disappearance, she has not disclosed his whereabouts to authorities.
