FAIRLAWN, Ohio-St. Hilary School participated in the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education (OCLRE) Middle School Mock Trial Showcase on May 17, fielding two teams: The Sabers Team and The Red Sabers Team. Both teams received recognition, with The Sabers Team earning an outstanding rating and The Red Sabers Team achieving a superior rating.
Several students received individual awards for their exceptional performance, including Best Attorney awards for Katie Ann Bickett, Alana Carducci, and Emma Yeboah-Amankwah, and a Best Witness award for Ava Yusufi. The teams consisted of attorneys, witnesses, bailiffs, timekeepers, and alternates, all contributing to their success. Faculty advisor Judi Buzzi, along with Judge Jon Oldham and attorney Justin Alaburda, coached the St. Hilary School mock trial teams.
