MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio-Cpl. Hunter Willoughby of Miami Township Police received a distress call from a postpartum mother on June 15, 2024, who urgently needed formula for her 1-week-old baby as she couldn’t breastfeed and stores were closed. Willoughby went to a closed Meijer store at 3:30 a.m., gained entry, purchased formula and bottles, and delivered them to the mother’s home. He paid for the supplies himself and declined reimbursement. The police department praised his kindness, highlighting his actions as exemplary of their community-focused approach.
