DAYTON, Ohio-Over the past weekend, several University of Dayton students were assaulted in two separate incidents near the campus:
1. First Incident: Early Saturday morning, a UD police officer witnessed a group of at least three men attacking a student on Kiefaber Street. The assailants stole the student’s phone and other personal items before fleeing.
2. Second Incident: Less than 24 hours later, students on Lawnview Avenue were attacked by unknown individuals who tried to steal a table from their residence. Three students were injured by broken glass and bottles during the altercation.
The University of Dayton is actively investigating both incidents and has pledged to enhance safety through increased patrols and educational efforts. Students are encouraged to report any suspicious activity and seek assistance from campus police.
