Former Gahanna Lincoln Football Player Found not Guilty by Jury in Triple-Fatal Crash

< 1 min read

COLUMBUS, Ohio-A Franklin County Common Pleas Court jury found former Gahanna high school football player Kobie Stillwell not guilty of all criminal charges related to a 2019 crash that killed three people. The trial focused on whether the crash was due to reckless driving or an epileptic seizure. On October 12, 2019, Stillwell, who was 18 at the time and had not taken his epilepsy medication, was driving at 116 mph when his Audi struck a Toyota Camry, killing the driver Kumari Biswakarma and her daughter Anju Biswakarma. Stillwell’s passenger, 17-year-old JaShawn Scott, also died. Despite the high speed and Stillwell’s failure to medicate, the jury deliberated for about 90 minutes before reaching their verdict.
