AKRON, Ohio-North High School will hold an open house on Sunday, Oct. 6, from 4-6 p.m. to showcase its disrepair, including a leaky roof and falling ceiling tiles. This event aims to encourage public support for a ballot measure (Issue 27) on Nov. 5, which includes two levies to fund the school’s reconstruction. The levies would cost homeowners approximately $311.50 annually for properties valued at $100,000. One levy seeks to raise $25.7 million yearly, while the other would generate $4.4 million annually to repay an $85 million bond for the new school.
