Police: Body of Missing 6-year-old boy Found in Pond near West Chester Home

WEST CHESTER, Ohio-A 6-year-old non-verbal boy, Joshua Al-Lateef Jr., who was reported missing on Wednesday, has been found dead, according to West Chester police. His family reported him missing around 5:30 p.m. after he was dropped off by his bus driver and was with his adult sister before disappearing from their apartment complex. Joshua, who was known to like water, was searched for in multiple retention ponds near the property. His body was found around 9 p.m. Thursday. A large search effort involving local agencies and volunteers helped in the search. Police Chief Brian Rebholz expressed grief over the tragic outcome, thanking those who supported the search.
