FREMONT, Ohio-On Monday morning, Fremont police responded to a report of shots fired near Walmart. The incident, which occurred around 11:22 a.m. in a parking lot near Sean Drive, involved six people in two vehicles. One shot struck a car’s tire, but no injuries were reported. Police detained two individuals at the Casa Nueva Apartment complex, while two others fled on foot but were later apprehended. As a precaution, several local schools and the YMCA were placed on lockdown, including Vanguard-Sentinel Career and Technology Center, Fremont Ross High School, and Fremont Middle School. Two firearms were recovered, and the involved vehicles were seized. The lockdown was lifted at 1:45 p.m.
