Perrysburg High School’s principal has officially resigned from the position following claims he did not report accusations of inappropriate behavior against a former school employee.
According to district administrators, Aaron Cookson resigned from his position. Last month, the school district announced Cookson requested a leave of absence through Jan. 31 — but a district spokesperson said he wouldn’t be returning beyond that point.
This decision comes following an investigation into a former physical education teacher, John Henline, who allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior with female students. Henline resigned on Dec. 16. Police did look into some accusations, but no charges were ever filed.
