Honoring Decades of Mentorship at Franklin County Children Services

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Franklin County Children Services held its Volunteer Luncheon at The Gallery at Champions on Saturday, April 27, 2024. The event, titled “Building the Foundation of Mentorship,” celebrated the transformative impact of community service and mentorship. Keynote speaker Gabriela Edon shared inspiring stories of empowerment and resilience, emphasizing the profound influence of mentorship on young lives.

The event honored volunteers like Norman Brown and Tanya Johnson, who have dedicated 35 and 30 years, respectively, to mentorship. Other honorees included Janet George and Patti Aronhalt, recognized for their 20 years of service, and individuals like Claude Russell III, Nicole Ford, and Peyton Watts, reaching milestones of 15 and 10 years. Each introduction highlighted the unique contributions and lasting legacy of these volunteers. The luncheon concluded with remarks from Eboni Partlow, Director of Volunteers and Child Enrichment, underscoring the importance of building strong foundations for the future.
