AMHERST, Ohio-The entire staff of the preschool at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Amherst resigned due to demands for transparency regarding the preschool’s finances. Wendy Kosakowski, the former director, and other long-serving staff members cited challenges in obtaining clear answers from the church council about the preschool’s budget.
Despite years of fundraising and dedication to the program, they felt compelled to resign when their concerns were not addressed. Families who grew close to the teachers are now left to find alternative preschool options. While the church plans to continue the preschool with new staff, the abrupt departure has saddened both teachers and families.
