BG Schools Eyes Low Interest Rates and High Pipeline Revenue

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-Bowling Green City Schools could potentially fund high school renovations without additional taxpayer costs, thanks to projected savings and increased pipeline tax revenue.

Treasurer Cathy Schuller reported potential savings of $13 million over 30 years due to low interest rates and an additional $3 million annually from the second Rover pipeline. However, these projections depend on voter approval of the school issue in November and the district’s ability to capitalize on the savings. Schuller emphasized the need for caution, noting that external factors could impact these projections.
