ASHLAND, Ohio-Ashland City Schools officials recently approved the purchase of four new 72-passenger school buses from Cardinal Bus Sales for $98,986 each. The decision was made during a recent school board meeting where funding details were discussed, including a grant covering $45,000 per bus provided by the Ohio Department of Education.
This grant significantly offsets the costs, making the purchase financially advantageous for the district. The new buses are expected to be operational by the beginning of the fall semester, allowing the district to retire older buses through auction while maintaining a reliable fleet for transportation needs.
