Elmwood Place Officials Stress Importance of Car Seats, Seat Belts After 6 Hospitalized Following Crash

ELMWOOD PLACE, Ohio -In Elmwood Place, six people, including three children and a school bus driver, were hospitalized after a crash involving two vehicles and a school bus. The accident occurred when a speeding silver Ford SUV collided with another vehicle making a turn, then veered into the path of the bus. No children were on the bus, but three young children in the SUV were injured, though not critically. The bus driver, the SUV driver, and a passenger were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the van was seriously injured. Officials highlighted the importance of seat belts and car seats, noting that the bus’s size likely mitigated more severe consequences. The Cincinnati Children’s Hospital offers resources for families needing car seats and installation assistance.
