Ohio Secretary of State Larose Launches Annual Initiative Aimed at Helping High School Seniors Participate In Elections

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose has introduced the 2024 Grads Vote program, aiming to educate high school seniors about participating in Ohio’s election process. The initiative encourages juniors and seniors to serve as Election Day poll workers through the Youth at the Booth program. LaRose emphasizes the importance of young people exercising their right to vote and actively participating in democracy.

The Ohio Association of Election Officials supports the initiative, recognizing the significance of youth engagement in democracy. Grads Vote packets containing voter registration information have been distributed to Ohio schools, and Secretary LaRose plans to visit schools to discuss the program and civic duty. This initiative complements existing efforts to ensure a successful 2024 general election, including the Ready for November Initiative.
