< 1 min read

CINCINNATI, Ohio-As the school year begins in the Tri-State area, experts highlight potential safety concerns, including bomb threats and active shooter threats, which are more common during back-to-school and end-of-year periods. Recent incidents in the Cincinnati area include threatening phone calls at Hamilton High School, a bomb threat at West Clermont Middle School, and threatening emails investigated by the FBI. While most threats are not credible, they are taken seriously. School Resource Officers (SROs) are crucial in responding to these threats and are a key resource for students and parents. The Ohio School Safety Center offers a 24/7 “Safer Ohio School Tipline” for anonymous reporting of threats or suspicious activity.
