PEEBLES, Ohio-The community mourns the loss of 16-year-old Addison Howard from Peebles, who tragically passed away following a devastating crash on State Route 73. The incident occurred on April 20th, involving a 2014 Ford Focus driven by a 17-year-old girl from Hillsboro. The vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, colliding with a mailbox and tree, resulting in injuries to Howard and another passenger.
The driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital, while the other passenger received treatment at Highland District Hospital. The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, with support from local authorities and organizations.
