ALLIANCE, Ohio-Art students from Alliance High School were tasked with giving the Downtown Alliance Caboose a new look following a February 2023 arson fire. The historic train caboose has been repaired and painted, receiving a fresh coat of red paint and a music-themed design.
The windows were sealed to prevent vandalism, and the caboose is mainly used as a stage for summer concerts. Rick Baxter of the Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce enlisted the help of Steve Cabassa at Alliance High School for the project. The design, which includes images of people dancing, was completed by six students: Garrett Adkins, Madyson Kline, Eliza McDonald, Mia Pasco, Ally Sherwood, and Evan Winans.
