Peebles Elementary receives part of Dollar General Awards

PEEBLES, Ohio-The Dollar General Literacy Foundation (DGLF) has awarded nearly $260,000 in literacy grants to Ohio non-profit organizations, libraries, and schools, part of its ongoing efforts to support adult, family, and summer literacy programs. With this round of grants, the DGLF has now helped over 20 million individuals achieve their educational goals since its establishment in 1993.

The grants aim to provide resources to thousands of learners across the country, including over 20,000 individuals in Ohio. Peebles Elementary School in Ohio was among the grant recipients, receiving $2,500 to support its literacy initiatives. These grants support schools, public libraries, and nonprofit organizations within a 15-mile radius of a Dollar General store or distribution center, enabling them to implement new literacy programs or expand existing ones by purchasing technology, books, materials, or software.
