Baby Left in Hot Car Outside Summit County Plasma Donation Facility

AKRON, Ohio-DeMarcus Jones is facing charges after allegedly leaving his two-month-old daughter inside a hot car at a plasma donation facility in Akron. Staff at CSL Plasma alerted deputies, who found the baby alone in an unlocked car with no running engine when they arrived. Despite an outside temperature of approximately 82 degrees, the child was unharmed but evaluated by EMS and subsequently taken into custody by Summit County Children Services. Jones, identified through his license in the car, was arrested for child endangerment and issued a summons to appear in Akron Municipal Court.
