BCS Board Hears Back-to-School Update

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio-At the Bellefontaine Board of Education’s recent meeting, Superintendent Brad Hall and Director of Administrative Services Roger Ely provided a detailed back-to-school update. They announced that several substitute teachers have been hired to address previous shortages. The school year starts on September 4th for grades 1-9.

Ely reviewed several summer projects funded by ESSER and permanent improvement funds, including new LED lights at AcuSport Stadium, updated clocks and message boards at the high school, auditorium modifications, playground fencing, and classroom repairs. Technology upgrades included installing fiber optics and wireless connectivity enhancements at the stadium, and server upgrades at the high school. The board approved financial reports, personnel changes, and a $1 annual medical provider fee with Costin Family Practice. Resignations and new hires were also accepted, and extended days for communications coordinator Bill Tipple were approved.
