COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio-A 17-year-old was charged with aggravated robbery after carjacking a 51-year-old man at gunpoint at a Sheetz gas station. The victim was drying his vehicle when three masked males in a stolen car approached, brandished handguns, and demanded his car keys and shoes. The suspects fled in the victim’s car, later stopping at another gas station. Akron Police located the vehicle, but the suspects fled on foot. The teen driver was apprehended after a brief chase, and a firearm believed to be used in the robbery was found in the stolen car. He has been taken to the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.
