NEWTON FALLS, Ohio-A Newton Falls man, 26-year-old Jonah Fisher, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to two misdemeanor counts of child endangerment for leaving a toddler alone in a room with a dangerous dog. The incident occurred in March when Fisher and 26-year-old Destany Myers left the two-year-old with a dog that had previously been quarantined for biting. The dog attacked the child, resulting in serious injuries that required emergency medical treatment. Authorities also noted that the child’s living conditions were unsanitary. Fisher’s sentencing will occur at a later date, while Myers has a pretrial hearing scheduled for October 16.
