BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio-Two young boys, aged 11 and 13, were charged with vandalism after causing significant damage to new apartment buildings under construction on Kristina Drive. Bellefontaine Police responded to reports from a concrete contractor who found juvenile footprints and vulgar messages etched into freshly poured concrete, as well as a broken window and torn screens. The contractor estimated the repair costs at around $3,500 and noted previous vandalism, including damage to drywall. Both boys were charged with vandalism and criminal trespass. The incident has raised concerns among local residents and contractors about safety and community responsibility. Authorities urged parents to discuss the consequences of such actions with their children.
