It felt like Christmas came early for hundreds of kids in Columbiana and rural Mahoning County on Saturday, as it was Brightside Project’s annual Bright Christmas event.
It was the first Bright Christmas the organization has held in its new building on North Ellsworth Avenue in Salem, which was completely transformed into a Christmas wonderland.
Hundreds of kids and their families got to check out the new location and pick out gifts. Executive Director Scott Lewis says they prepared for the large need.
