An academic showdown in Belmont County brought the best spellers in the area together for the 38th Annual Regional Spelling Bee.
The top two qualifying students from each of the nine schools in the county competed for a spot in the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. where they will go up against students from across the country.
The winner of the 2025 Spelling Bee is Brett Kuprowicz, an 8th grade student from Bridgeport Middle School, and the runner-up is 7th grader Adeline Jackson from Catholic Consortium!
