Ohio’s EdChoice program was ruled unconstitutional at the end of June, but the decision won’t affect students and families this upcoming school year. In 2022, the Coalition for Adequacy & Equity of School Funding, or Ohio E&A, filed a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of EdChoice, Ohio’s voucher program that been around since the early 2000s and provides financial assistance to eligible students to attend private schools.
