A private Akron school for boys that opened three months ago is a finalist for a $1 million national award that would help school leaders replicate their academy model in other Ohio cities. Dreams Academy, a private school for boys in kindergarten through second grade, has been named one of 23 national contenders for the Yass Prize, which seeks to recognize innovative education models across the country.
