Over $1 million awarded to 12 rural Ohio school districts through Trees to Textbooks

Does a tree make a sound when it falls in the forest alone? Undetermined. But timber harvested from Ohio state forests is making an impact for several rural Ohio school districts, their home counties and townships. Twelve districts are set to receive $1,621,268 through the Trees to Textbooks program. A percentage of revenue generated from state forest management activity goes toward the county, township and school district where the activity occurred through the program.
