A former student of Columbus City Schools has achieved one of the world’s highest academic honours, offering inspiration to children and young people pursuing their educational dreams. Michael Woodford, a 1973 graduate of Walnut Ridge High School in Columbus, Ohio, was named a joint winner of the 2026 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences on October 12.
