April 3rd, 2024-ETNA, Ohio-A tragic accident occurred in Etna, Ohio, involving a charter bus carrying high school students from the Tuscarawas Valley Local School District. The bus was rear-ended by a semitruck on a highway, resulting in six fatalities and 18 injuries.
The crash involved five vehicles in total. Three passengers on the bus were pronounced dead at the scene, identified as John W. Mosely, Jeffery D. Worrell, and Katelyn N. Owens. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine expressed condolences to the families and emphasized the severity of the situation. Fifteen students and the bus driver were hospitalized, while others were taken to a reunification site.
