TOLEDO, Ohio-Start High School seniors who have plans for college, military service, or entering the workforce were honored in a ceremony at the school. The event, called the “E Certificate” ceremony, recognized students like Cymai Carter, who will attend Washington State University in the fall. Carter and her classmates received certificates amid cheers from their peers.
Superintendent Romules Durant expressed pride in the students’ achievements and emphasized the importance of guiding them toward their future goals. He highlighted initiatives like the “next step” program, which starts in fifth grade, to help students prepare for their careers. Carter encouraged fellow students to stay motivated, assuring them that hard work pays off in the end.
