GRANGER, Ohio-The Highland Local School District is organizing a Drive A Bus hiring event on April 20 at Granger Elementary for individuals interested in becoming bus drivers. Participants can test drive a school bus and learn about the job requirements.
Superintendent Catherine Aukerman highlighted that candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license. The district offers flexible scheduling, benefits, competitive pay, and a $2,500 hiring bonus. With potential retirements of up to 10 bus drivers, Aukerman emphasized the urgency of hiring to prevent a crisis in the district.
