SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-The Springfield City School District is close to completing a $10.5 million renovation project for The Dome, their innovation center located at the former South High School site. The project, led by Kapp Construction, is funded mostly by federal ESSER funds allocated during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Communication specialist Jenna Leinasars highlighted that the renovation will revitalize the last remaining untouched section of the historic building. Despite an initial estimate of $11.2 million, the project managed to stay within budget due to favorable bid outcomes.
