Washington Local Schools Superintendent to Retire

< 1 min read

TOLEDO, Ohio-Washington Local Schools Superintendent Kadee Anstadt is set to retire on July 31 after leading the district since August 2019. The district’s Board of Education will vote on her resignation this Wednesday. Anstadt plans to teach at the University of Findlay after resigning and spend more time with her grandchildren.

During her tenure, the district navigated a switch to virtual learning during the pandemic. WLS, which serves about 7,000 students across multiple schools, will begin construction on a new middle school in west Toledo this summer. Anstadt sees this as an opportunity to enhance student experiences and engagement. Additionally, two new elementary schools were opened under her leadership.
