Greenville Schools Cleaning up After Tornado

GREENVILLE, Ohio-A tornado caused exterior damage to several Greenville City Schools buildings, including the high school and K-8 buildings. The middle school baseball field dugout was blown over, and trees fell around various areas, including the parking lot entrance and tennis court.

Despite the debris, officials believe the interiors of the buildings are undamaged but are waiting to restore power and check servers before confirming. Classes were canceled to facilitate road cleanup and bus maneuverability. The district has faced similar challenges from previous natural disasters, with community flexibility being praised. Damage to Harmon Field, including the destruction of the press box and light poles, raises concerns about readiness for upcoming events like graduation.
