Greater Cincinnati Preschool Closes After 66 Years, Then The Teachers Open New School

< 1 min read

CINCINNATI, Ohio-After 66 years of operation, St. Thomas nursery school closed its doors in February, leaving families seeking preschool options for the next school year. However, three teachers from St. Thomas decided to open a new school called the Learning Nest. With support from the Village Church in Newtown, which offered its classrooms during the week, they ensured continuity for the students.

Concerns about financial stability led to St. Thomas Episcopal Church’s decision to close the school. Families faced uncertainty until they learned about the new school, where every St. Thomas family seeking preschool found a spot. The Learning Nest anticipates welcoming 85 students in the upcoming school year, providing a happy ending for all involved.
