CLINTON, Ohio-Several students from East Clinton Local School District sustained minor injuries and were hospitalized following a crash involving a school bus in Wilson Township. The bus, carrying 37 students, veered off the road, striking two culverts, a mailbox, and a ditch.
Although initially reported to occur on I-71, the crash actually took place near State Route 72. Superintendent Eric Magee stated that both the district and Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating the incident. While thankfully not serious, Magee acknowledged the stress on students and expressed gratitude for the situation not being worse. Tonya A. Kimball, the bus driver, was charged with operating a motor vehicle without reasonable control.
