CINCINNATI, Ohio-Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) and transportation company First Student have been awarded $8.5 million in grants to purchase 25 new electric school buses. The buses are already on the road, with 10 currently in operation, and are expected to be fully implemented by the 2024-2025 school year. The electric buses are quieter and produce fewer emissions, resulting in cleaner air. The goal is to eventually electrify the entire school bus fleet.
