PLAIN CITY, Ohio-Nearly a year after the tragic discovery of a deceased baby girl in a Plain City garbage truck, authorities have been unable to identify her parents. The infant, named “Madison Baby Doe” by city officials, was found in June 2023 with her umbilical cord still attached.
Despite efforts using the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) and progress in the investigation, no DNA matches or investigative leads have emerged. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office could not determine the cause of death, noting multiple fractures and lacerations on the baby’s body. Police and prosecutors remain committed to pursuing justice while withholding specific details to protect the integrity of the investigation.
