MAPLETON, Ohio-During a meeting of the Ashland City Schools Board of Education, Coach Scott Valentine was warmly welcomed back to the staff. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to coach the football program again, which was met with applause. Valentine emerged as the top choice from a pool of 11 applicants, later narrowed down to three who met the district’s criteria. Having previously coached from 2002-2018, Valentine achieved significant success, including seven conference championships and a 130-60 record with 10 playoff appearances. Interim Superintendent Steve Paramore highlighted Valentine’s impressive qualifications and deep commitment to Ashland and its football program.
