< 1 min read

COLUMBUS, Ohio-The Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) experienced a cyberattack on Thursday, affecting their computer network, website, and email systems. The breach disrupted their operations, but the OSBA stated they do not store sensitive data like social security numbers or financial information and currently has no evidence that such data was compromised. The attack occurred at 12:49 p.m., and while the organization is struggling with communication due to the outage, there is no indication of a ransom demand. An external IT forensic team is investigating the incident. The OSBA supports 3,500 members and 700 school districts, providing resources and services essential for school operations.
