MAPEL HEIGHTS, Ohio-On Tuesday, two Maple Heights High School students got into a fight in a classroom just before 10 AM. During the altercation one student pulled a box cutter from his backpack, he cut the other student on the forehead and abdomen, the attacker also injured his own hand. The injured student was hospitalized and is in stable condition, the attacker was treated for minor injuries and taken to juvenile detention. He faces felonious assault charges. The school went into lockdown for about an hour. The school district issued a statement emphasizing their commitment to student safety and collaboration with local police.
