SOMERVILLE, Ohio -A crash in Wayne Township early Thursday morning resulted in one death and two life-threatening injuries. Around 6:30 a.m., a 2005 Pontiac driven by a 16-year-old boy collided head-on with a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban driven by a 60-year-old man. The teenage driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 13-year-old girl passenger from the Pontiac was airlifted to Dayton Children’s Hospital with critical injuries. The Suburban driver was also taken to Miami Valley Hospital by Careflight. The deceased teen was an 11th-grader, and his sister, the injured passenger, is an 8th grader in the same school district. The investigation is ongoing, with multiple local agencies responding to the scene.
