8 Children in Franklin County find their Forever Homes on National Adoption Day

COLUMBUS, Ohio-On National Adoption Day, eight children in Franklin County found their forever families. Six families, including the Masons, who adopted three children—Rose, Louie, and Maralee—celebrated the occasion. The Masons, who began fostering the children in 2021, were emotional as they finalized the adoption, expressing their love and excitement for their new permanent family. They had not initially planned to adopt but grew deeply attached to the children. Additionally, the Masons’ birth daughter, Jessica Erichson, adopted a sibling group of three, calling the experience a blessing. Franklin County Children Services reported that 80 children are still waiting for permanent homes.
